Bel (Digital Audio) Ltd., a UK manufacturer of high quality equipment for broadcast and studio environments, has announced the launch of their new compact HD confidence monitor.

The BM-A1-2SHD is a 1U high-quality 2 channel audio monitor, capable of monitoring both discrete HD and SD multi-channel audio sources. The BM-A1-2SHD accepts 2xSDI sources  (with active loop-through) and automatically detects between SD or HD video streams, decoding the SDI content appropriately. By offering such functionality the BM-A1-2SHD frees up any user involvement in format selection and results in a very uncluttered and self explanatory front panel. A single 8 position rotary control enables the operator to monitor any channel pair from the selected SDI source.

The BM-A1-2SHD is equally suited to operation within Master Control Rooms, Outside Broadcast Vehicles, or indeed anywhere where monitoring of SD and HD SDI sources are required; especially when within a space conscious environment.

The entire BM range are all magnetically screened and provide high quality audio reproduction at high SPL levels. System Limiting is provided as standard.
