Dr. Russell’s first product for Bel was the popular BD-80 which is still in use in many facilities today. It is easy to see why the technical combination of Mick Barnard and Doug Russell’s skills in digital audio have resulted in some of the finest audio products available in their field. Bel (Digital Audio) Ltd has evolved from a very interesting past. After 6 years in an electronics laboratory working on flight simulators, founder Mick Barnard was one of the original guitarists in the group Genesis.
Bel’s position of having expert level technical ability in house means
that custom units can be designed quickly, even in relatively small quantities.
Bel does not rely on anyone
else, so design questions can be answered promptly and solutions found to give
you your perfect product.
Bel have worked with DB Broadcast in the UK to produce three bespoke units for the BBC. These monitoring units were used during the BBC’s coverage of the Euro 2004 Championship in Portugal, and are now available as part of the standard Bel range.
